Our Family

My husband and I have been blessed with four wonderful children and eight grandchildren. Two of our children and three grandchildren live on the East Coast of Canada, where we live. The other two, with five grandchildren, live on the West Coast of Canada. Once each year, we travel west to visit our family in British Columbia.

Of the five grandchildren on the West Coast, three of them are “special needs” children. They are all in our eldest daughter’s family. She is a single mom who, with the help of her normal daughter, has struggled to handle and support three special needs children. Her normal daughter is now in university, studying to become a nurse.

Over the years, my husband and I have worked to support her in every way that we can, but as we get older, we know that she needs a regular income that she can count on. So, we started Cool Creations – with the view of this becoming a profitable business and a way of supporting our oldest daughter and her children.

That was our first reason, but there is more. My husband and I have been doing mission work in the Philippines for almost 20 years. Our work is with prisoners, and we have seen many, many lives completely changed over the years. We love this work and will continue spreading Hope as long as possible. During our time in the Philippines, we have met some other groups who are doing amazing work with young people and those who are working to stop human trafficking.

As this store grows, a portion of the profits will go to dedicated causes, which we know are using the money to make this a safer and better world for all of us.
